Calorie Content (ME, calculated):The calorie content of the powder is 4494 kcal/kg or 29.6 kcal/tbsp. The calorie content is 12.4 kcal/tbsp when the powder is reconstituted 1:2.
Mixing Instructions:
- Combine 1 part powdered KMR with 2 parts warm water.
- Mix thoroughly by whisking or shaking.
- Do not prepare more than can be used within 24 hours.
- Avoid using a blender.
Feeding Instructions:
KMR serves as a complete diet for kittens up to 6 weeks old or as a supplement for weaned kittens, pregnant or nursing mothers, and adult cats. Consult a veterinarian for further guidance. Not intended for human consumption.
Feeding Guidelines:
- Newborn to 6-Week-Old Kittens:
- Feed 2 tablespoons (30mL) of reconstituted KMR per 4 ounces (115g) of body weight daily.
- Divide the daily total into equal portions for feedings every 3–4 hours.
- Adjust feeding amounts as needed based on individual kitten requirements.
- Warm reconstituted KMR to room or body temperature before serving.
- Pregnant and Nursing Mothers:
- Supplement with 2 teaspoons (4g) of KMR powder per 5lb (2.2kg) of body weight daily, sprinkled on top of their regular diet.
- Weaned Kittens and Adult Cats:
- Supplement with 1 teaspoon (2g) of KMR powder per 5lb (2.2kg) of body weight daily, as a topper for their normal diet.
Storage Instructions:
- Store unopened containers in a cool, dry place.
- Once opened, keep at room temperature for up to 2 months; refrigerate after that for an additional month.
- For extended freshness, freeze opened containers for up to 6 months.
- Use by the best-before date printed on the container.
- Reconstituted liquid should be refrigerated and used within 24 hours.
